GENERAL:
How do we grow our mushrooms?
We grow our mushrooms on grow blocks in a carefully controlled environment, maintaining a steady 18–20°C and 85% humidity for optimal growth. Our grow room is climate- and humidity-regulated to mimic their natural conditions. Cleanliness is crucial, as the same environment that helps mushrooms thrive also supports mold growth, so we keep everything spotless to ensure healthy, high-quality mushrooms.
What are grow blocks?
Our grow blocks are the foundation for growing our mushrooms. They're made from a blend of hardwood pellets, which are naturally organic, and soy hulls. These materials are mixed with water, sterilized to eliminate any contaminants, and then inoculated with mushroom mycelium. Once the mycelium fully colonizes the block, it’s ready to produce mushrooms. These blocks provide all the nutrients our mushrooms need to thrive and mimic their natural growing conditions. While the hardwood pellets are organic, the soy hulls we currently use are not—but we're actively working to find a certified organic supplier to make our grow blocks 100% organic.
Are your mushrooms organic?
We do NOT use any chemicals or sprays on our mushrooms. Our mushrooms thrive on grow blocks made from hardwood pellets (naturally organic) and soy hulls, which are currently not certified organic. The soy hulls are the only non-organic component in our process, and we are actively seeking a certified organic supplier to make our products fully organic.
What types of mushrooms do you grow?
We grow a variety of gourmet mushrooms, including Lion’s Mane, Blue Oyster, Pink Oyster, Chestnut, and Black Pearl, each with unique flavors, textures, and uses.
How long do fresh mushrooms last?
Blue Oyster, black pearls, chestnuts, and lion’s mane can last approximately 7 days when stored in a paper bag in the refrigerator. Pink Oysters have a much shorter shelf life of approximately 2-3 days.

GROW KITS
Who makes your mushroom grow kits?
The grow kits we sell are made by our friends at Mushroom Meadows in Claremont, ON! For FULL INSTRUCTIONS & VIDEOS visit their website!
How do I use a mushroom grow kit?
Using a mushroom grow kit is simple! Just follow the instructions that come with the kit, which will involve spraying the block of mycelium with water and keeping it in a well lit place, out of direct sunlight. Depending on the type of mushroom, the growth time can vary from 2-4 weeks.
What do I do if the kit is past it's best before date?
The mycelium may be running low on oxygen at this point. Remove the mushroom bag from inside the box. If it looks healthy - meaning consistent white colour - you can fruit following the normal directions. If part of the bag no longer looks white or mostly not white you should untape the folded over section and 'fluff' the bag so that the white filter patch can exchange air. Wait approximately a week for the white mycelium to overtake the substrate again, then remove the air and fruit as normal.
Do I need any special equipment to use a mushroom grow kit?
No, you don't need any special equipment to use a mushroom grow kit. The kit typically comes with everything you need to grow your mushrooms, including a spray bottle.
How many times can I harvest mushrooms from a mushroom grow kit?
Most mushroom grow kits will fruit two times, but it depends on the specific kit. We guarantee the first harvest, so if you follow the instructions and don't get any mushrooms, we'll replace the kit for you.
Do I need any experience to use a mushroom grow kit?
